FRIENDS OF CUMBERNAULD GLEN INVITE YOU TO ‘BIRDS, BLUEBELLS AND BREAKFAST’

ON SUNDAY, 4 MAY 2014

International Dawn Chorus Day is held annually on the first Sunday in May, when bird lovers across the world will be rising early to hear the birds greet the sunrise. There are hundreds of early-morning events taking place across the UK and around the world so why not get up early and celebrate nature’s daily miracle – come along on a guided walk through the beautiful Cumbernauld Glen and Park to listen to all the birds singing when they wake up. Learn about the different bird calls and bird habits and then enjoy a well-deserved breakfast at the end of the walk [free]. Suitable for all ages (except very young children) – wear boots/stout shoes and suitable outer clothing. Although we love dogs, better to leave them behind, please, to avoid disturbing the birds. Meet at 4.30 am, lower car park at Cumbernauld House (beside the allotments); the event will last approximately 1½-2 hours. Please register to attend: contact Karen Morrison on 07813 821932
